Default RE: how to make a 6 volt pack

I get Venom packs at the local hobby shop. That's five cell 1200 mah NiMH packs for just over 20 bucks. They work just fine and can be recharged with my Sirius field charger. The cost savings over those Circuit City and Best Buy packs for your camera are not what you want in your plane. Ken said it all. Without the proper soldering technique, you will destroy the seals and, if you put them in your plane, the vibration alone could open up that solder connection or cause one or more of the battteries in that pack to fail. And that ain't good.

Stick to the battery packs designed for RC flight. Another source is radicalrc.com And he has a very good writeup in his FAQ's section that may interest you.
