My Optic 6 box came with a double-ended plastic screwdriver. The cap (like for a ballpoint pen) is part of the screwdriver tool and not a separate item. I don't know what the cap is for and I have never used it for anything. Regarding the metal clip(?), my Optic 6 did not come with one.

I just use the screwdriver portion of the tool to set up the two dials on the Spectra Module so that the transmitter will transmit on the same channel number as the receiver's crystal number.
