Along with my Eclipse 7 & Spectra Module came a double ended screwdriver, ostensibly to be used to tune the module. Along with the screwdriver came a metal clip (?) and what looks like a cap for a ball point pen that the screwdriver was clipped onto. It looks like the whole works is supposed to fasten onto the transmitter or module but for the life of me I don't see what or how. I haven't found anything in the manuals that addresses this issue.

Charley,
My Optic 6 box came with a double-ended plastic screwdriver. The cap (like for a ballpoint pen) is part of the screwdriver tool and not a separate item. I don't know what the cap is for and I have never used it for anything. Regarding the metal clip(?), my Optic 6 did not come with one.
I just use the screwdriver portion of the tool to set up the two dials on the Spectra Module so that the transmitter will transmit on the same channel number as the receiver's crystal number.
Have a great day,
Ernie

Thanks,
I tried clipping it on the carrying handle as you describe. It's such a loose fit I didn't think it would survive flopping around. Could line the clip with sticky tape to tighten it up, I guess. OK, now for the rest of the story;
what's the metal piece for?
Thanks again,
CR

To exchange ratchet slider, simply remove battery, module and then the rear of TX case. One screw holds the Throttle Defeat in place. Replace the metal slider "throttle defeat". If the new feel is not for you, reinstall the original slider.

Many Helicopter flyers prefer a smooth feel rather than the click click of a coarse ratchet preferred by other users. Recent issue of the Eclipse include a second "Throttle Defeat" metal slider which provides a softer feel than the standard factory installed slider.

How often do you use it? Why not put it in your flight box, or in your transmitter case if you have one?

My brother has a radio with the Spectra module, but he bought it used.
No metal clip..... I also would have wondered what it was for.
He tried clipping the little screwdriver on the handle of the transmitter but it kept getting knocked off. Now it lives in his transmitter case. Most our stuff is on ch 49 but occasionally we take something out that is on 44 or 47.
