Default RE: Roto 50 V2 question

Ossie..

This is a great engine, easy to start. Pulls a Menz Ultra 22x10 til 6700RPM. Nice throttle respons.
And viritual vibration free... I did take my time to get to know this engine, by a long breaking in periode
in a bench... It has a nice steady idle, and a good transition. there is a "rough" spot a aprox 2500RPM, but this is very little compaired to a ZDZ 60 that I was running at the same time.. All in All a great little twin.

This engine will stay in the Pitts, holes in the cowling or not :-)

I have not had the time (or weather to be precise) to fly the Pitts more that 2 runs. But the take of run was short, and I had a lot
of pull.. This plane must be one of the more easy plane I have ever landed ,just pulls the throttle to idle, and point the nose slightely
down, flair just above the runway.. Very easy to land..

Good luck on yours..

regards
