Hi there, hope some one out there can help me out.
Have a 1/3 GP pitts special that needs an engine, and would like to try a twin cylinder engine.
Would anyone know the dimension from plug cap to plug cap on the Roto ??
Want to make sure it fits neatly inside the cowl !!
I have a couple of 50cc singles in other models, but this time I'm looking at a twin.
Cheers

You can likely add 60mm to include the plug caps.

Thanks,
Yep, knew about the 214mm cyl head to cyl head dimensions, but looking for an accurate plug cap to plug cap length.
I sent an email to RC Showcase a while ago seeking the information, but never got a reply.
Is there anyone else out there that can help me out ??

Ossie..
I have this engine in my Pitts. The plugg caps are touching the cowl slightly :-(
I have only flown this combo twise, but without the cowl. I have not decided if I will try to fly with the
caps as they are, or if I will make holdes for the caps. I have reinforced the spot where they toutch.. Will see..
Anyway, LOVE this engine...
Best regards

Thanks for the reply Sandman,
I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on the model and engine combination.
From what I've seen the Roto is a real smooth running engine.
Cheers

Ossie..
This is a great engine, easy to start. Pulls a Menz Ultra 22x10 til 6700RPM. Nice throttle respons.
And viritual vibration free... I did take my time to get to know this engine, by a long breaking in periode
in a bench... It has a nice steady idle, and a good transition. there is a "rough" spot a aprox 2500RPM, but this is very little compaired to a ZDZ 60 that I was running at the same time.. All in All a great little twin.
This engine will stay in the Pitts, holes in the cowling or not :-)
I have not had the time (or weather to be precise) to fly the Pitts more that 2 runs. But the take of run was short, and I had a lot
of pull.. This plane must be one of the more easy plane I have ever landed ,just pulls the throttle to idle, and point the nose slightely
down, flair just above the runway.. Very easy to land..
Good luck on yours..
