Default RE: AMA's new Park Plilot Program

Now, that is no longer tongue-in-cheek. If a pfer club wants to operate on the facility that I have spent 12 years working to build, and financed a great part of that operation, you can bet your rear-end that I will do everything in my power to assure that such group provides a neat profit to the host club that OWNS such 50 acres that I provided.

quote Hossfly.
Horrace,
I think it is well within your rights or any other clubs rights to charge whatever you want to allow a PFer to fly at your field.
My personal view is that it will be a rarity. In the town that i live there are several groups who meet at various places and fly electrics. Many of the places they fly sporatically at they occasionally get run off from for the reason of liability and risk to the land owners. I think this program will enable PFers to establish their own flying sites. Most of the PFers i know wouldn't join a regular AMA club is they were paid. There is just a level of animosity that got started between PFers and AMA clubs in the beginning that will probably take a few years to heal. But it is the AMA that has reached accross the aisle to them.

All this worry or argument of what established clubs should charge PFers is mute. Charge them the same as regular members, they aren't coming anyway.

There is no negotiating of the charge. So that makes the new guy's start up cost $275.00. Are you guys willing to pay that amount? I seriously doubt it.
I agree with Bill on this one.
