RE: DL-50 engine
My turn, I'm old dude and the cold here in Mn sucks. I walked 80' to the mail box today and froze. Yesterday I borrowed a friends pickup and 35mph winds ripped loose his vinyl cover while out on the freeway by some open fields. I had all I could do to roll the thing up in the wind, and it was 18 degrees out. Fortunately, my wife and I just bought a place in Fort Myers, and will spend six months a year down there. I'm building my fleet of airplanes down there and have an almost complete Wildhare Sukhoi with a DL50 which has less than a gallon through it. Come January I'll be bringing my Hangar 9 Cap 232g to Fort Myers, it also has a DL50 on it with a couple of gallons through it. Darn, they will have to be retuned for the warm weather.
