Well I almost had it. There it was in a cheap dollar store with my wife. She says "why are you staring at those?" I've been in the store for 20 minutes and your still staring at this!". She was referring to a set of those plastic coat hangars that I could cut into nice tubular strip. They looked closed in diameter so for a buck, what the heck. brought emhome and the diameter of the skids are about 221mm and these were 260. So--she took them!
