Usually a "spinner nut" isn't made of hardened steel like the stock "prop nut" is. If you have a crankshaft long enough, you should use the stock prop nut first and use the "spinner nut" as both a "jam nut" and "spinner mounting nut". And use the standard prop washer too of course. "Spinner nuts" can be found in various lengths to make this work/fit properly.
