About the magnets, yes, too few. Order 100 from the website link that Carrell posted. Just place it on a flat surface. The magnetic board is very flexible and will shape to any non-flat surface curves resulting in a bad building.
I use it over a GP wood board of the same size and those on top of a 1" flat top table where I work. Can't be more flat than that. Overkill I know.
Ask for help if you're in doubt how to use it.

Thanks for the Info. Yeah when I opened up the package the first thing I thought was I would need more magnets, and maybe a better vertical press.
I've just been waiting to have enough time to build a nice work station, the fold up tables I'm using now do the job but leave something to be desired. When I'm off over xmas I will be building a nice table made from particle board and laminate, the company I work for will sell me these Items at cost so I could easily build and 3X6 work table for $35 to 40.
