The Hog Bipe builds real easy, and it flies real nice too. Even though it is not your first choice I think you will really like it once you start flying it.
I built mine with the dual aileron servo mod which is included in the kit and I replaced the tail wheel with a Sullivan.
No other mods were made. Oh yeah I did not use the push rods that were included in the kit either, to much feed back that they really expanded and contracted with temp changes.
I fly off of a grass runway and I do not have any nose over problems.
Lots of people like to move the landing gear forward 1/2 inch to make sure there won't be any issues, that is an easy mod to make even though I do not personally think the plane needs it.
Have fun with it, resist the urge to strengthen anything in the tail section (it really does not need it) since it will just add needless weight.
