I'll comment on the elevator....

I didn't use the "Y" in mine, but went with two elevator servos each having carbon fibre push rods to 4/40 ends.

I had to widen the holes through the fuse to fit the rods, but this works well. My plane turned out to be 12lbs 2oz with a Saito 180 on it. Because I had a bit of trouble with the Saito, I now have a YS 140 on it.
