For a 1/6 scale pilot, fully articulated, is 12" tall the right size?

I'm going to modify the cockpit so that he can sit inside. I'll have a dash board, joystick, throtle quadrant and all the instruments inside the cockpit. I'm going to have to dig it out and put balsa sidings to accomodate this pilot, of course. I will be posting pictures of my progress.

Is this reasonable?
