your pic is maybe just a tad to close up to see what is going on here but take some of the scrap covering that you take off before glueing and put it on that tail post, even with a proper fit you would still see bare wood. is the front off the vertical stab hitting to fast or is the tail post bottoming out on something? if its the vetical stab you can peel back the covering and take a little bit off so everything can move forward. Its been a while but i seem to think i may have shaved some off of my tail post then covered it then the overhang isnt noticeable. Side note i had ca hinges fail and went to robarts.
