I've been using these for a # of years now, never a failure. I'm building some for a 1/3 Laser as we speak. I've never used anything but the 5/32 with 4-40 ends. But then all of my rods are 8" or less. If I was going to make a long pushrod I would probably use the 3/16 and support it well within the fuse. I have used both JB Weld and 30 min. epoxy without problems. The JB is probably better and as stated clean your push rod and roughen everthing up a bit with 220 sand cloth.

They look cool also
