If trying to get your originally purchased plane flying gets to be too frustrating, then I too recommend the GWS Slow Stick. For $35 you get the kit and a GWS S300 motor. It assembles in about 4 hours or less and everything you have purchased/own will work except you'll need a larger battery pack - 7-8 cell, 800-1100 mah.

It has an aluminum fuse stick and foam wings and tail feathers and a 46" wing span. Flies very well and is quite durable/repairable. Spare parts are available and of course the whole kit for $35 gives you spare everything.

I didn't mention this at first because I know the feeling of purchasing something and immediately everyone tells you what you should have purchased and not how to fix what you have.
