Default 8UAF Memory Battery?

Alfredo, thanks a lot for your answer.

Krysta, I am in agreement with you that these radios need to be sent in periodically for a check up.

I received e-mail on this subject which states that Futaba uses an eeprom (electrically erasable programmable read only memory) non volatile memory integrated circuit (chip) in the 7UAF and 8UAF. Of course, this is not a memory battery. When the 9 volt battery is removed the radio retains it's programming and that there is not a memory battery in these radios.

If I have gotten the wrong information then please correct it.

Thanks,
Ken
