Default RE: Xtreme Boom Tail Motor on CX2

Thanks for that offer Goldslinger. I think I finally found some at http://www.hobbyengineering.com/H1203.html and placed my order. I was going to order from solorbotics.com but they are in Canada and shipping was outragous.

I really would like to run off my main motors cause.
I've came to the conclusion that it (tail motor) needs to be-able to shut off instantly before a crash. If I were to wire it up on the 5th channel off of some lights, then I would have to quickly try and turn the nob channel off when after I had already crashed. I also like the idea of not having an extra step to do everytime I fly.
I don't mind the slight loss of power, running without any resistance I only retrimmed about 1/4 on my controller. With the right resistor I hoping maybe at 1/8.

I still don't know anything about resistors. I only want to allow about .1-.5 volts through, what would that equal in a resistor? Can anyone help me out?
