Yes to all the above,
You are changing the distances of the pushrods to the swash, and You'll find that You will have adjust them. Keep the front canopy off and adjust the aileron until it stops running to one side; then adjust the elevator one until You have to trim most of the way forward with the trim. Then with the canopy on, You will slide the trim back to compensate for the off C.G. of the canopy; hopefully somewhere back to center.
