Who would be interested in a brushless foam parkflyer version of planes such as the Dirty Birdy, Phoenix, Kwik Fli, Kaos, etc? I think these would scale down nicely.

C'mon, this would likely work out quite well. Why is it heresy? Of course, I like taildraggers, too, so I am already on the same side as Tommygun...
BTW, Handglider made a foamy version of Mike Hester's Black Magic and it apparently flies very well. Look up the Black Magic VF3 build thread in the main Pattern forum.
