I'm wary of the servo tape as well, but I started thinking about the crashes I've seen at the field where people used servo tape. The tape stayed on the servos and ripped out the balsa where they were mounted.

My Ultimate FF is covered and ready for the radio gear. I think I'll go with the tape, and maybe add some kind of safety block as has been mentioned in other threads, because I don't know exactly how well the tape will stick to the plastic hatch covers compared to balsa.
