If you loose power(dead stick) you ARE landing RIGHT THEN. It does NOT glide at all. As far as the taped servos.....I taped the servos on as per instructions then I cut a small slit in the plastic at each end of the servo and stuck a plastic pull tie through and around the servo and tightened it up. Works great. It might not be needed but it sure makes me feel better about it.....John
