The max power on the Triton and Triton2 is 90 watts so with 18 volt battery it should be able to do about 3.75 amps.

Even the Triton JR has 63 watts and should d 2.5 amps. They should both be able to reach max current with a 7.2 volt Nickle battery.

Strange behavior, are you chargeing from a memory setting or the main menu? Pushing the current during charge does the figure flash and display the set-point ? original set-point or the new set-point ? Yet it doesn't reach the set-point either way?

The PB charge souinds normal though as it does ramp up slow and ramp down very slow as the battery aproaches full.

You can run 2 7.2 batts in parallel ok, just have to split them to charge.
