France can only use 2.4GHz at lower power output than the US, so this switch is used if you are located in France as a legal requirement of their country.

Can you tell me what the "Area Select" switch on the module does? In the manual it says:
Normally please set at "GENERAL". In case of in France, please set at "FRANCE"
This doesn't say what the switch does
