I ran one in a Flip 3D and had no problems. If you use an electric starter, then there's really no need to prime it.
When using an electric starter, you should always prime the engine first, just as when not using an electric starter. Grinding it over for a few seconds with the electric starter until the fuel gets to the cylinder is not healthy for a model engine that depends on the fuel as a lubricant.
