RE: How cold is too cold?
This is for those who have mentioned using Sir Barleycorn on supper cold days. I sometimes recall being in Army basic training in Fort Dix, NJ in 1954 in December/January. I recall having some Sir Barleycorn with me in a foxhole trying to stay alive with only summer clothing in near zero temps. I have since read and believe that using that in cold weather fools your brain into thinking that all is OK and you in fact will get colder. I now dress extremly warm and use very thin gloves while up in the air. The gloves allow me to fly for about 5 minutes. That is enought for me now.
