I've got a WM LA Racer that I have used for an engine test bed that is still going strong. I started out with the la 40 engine they recommend, then went to a 46ax, an now to a 61fx with no sign of hinge trouble at all. This plane has had the crap beat out of it an it still keeps flying like the day it was new.

As said before, the hinges are next to impossible to get out of the wood. I wish all of my planes were built as good as the WM planes.

P.S. the skyraider machII is just as well built also for $70
