Not with world models but with other manufacturers "pre hinging." I have found that some of the ones that were put in by the manufacturer weren't put in with enough glue and found that they pulled right out. [:-] I carefully pulled them apart and re-glued them.

The only problem I have ever seen is the black dust that comes out.
The WM .46 Mustang has pre-installed metal hinges and is extremely popular for racing with the YS 1.10. Lots of vibration and high-G loads. If the hinges were going fail, this combo would do it.

I have the WM p-51, 46 size. Cut out the inner sections of the wing trailing edge to add flaps. I ended up with a section of aileron with one of the hinges in it for scrap... Just for fun, I thought I would see how well the hinge was in there...
I wasnt able to rip the hinge out using pliers without tearing the metal to pieces, and was almost unable to get all the wood off the hinge using a knife even without bending them all to hell.... They are in there REALLY well, at least on my plane...

I've got a WM LA Racer that I have used for an engine test bed that is still going strong. I started out with the la 40 engine they recommend, then went to a 46ax, an now to a 61fx with no sign of hinge trouble at all. This plane has had the crap beat out of it an it still keeps flying like the day it was new.
As said before, the hinges are next to impossible to get out of the wood. I wish all of my planes were built as good as the WM planes.
P.S. the skyraider machII is just as well built also for $70

The hinges will probably be just fine like everyone has said. The only thing I would recommend with that big engine is reinforcing the firewall. Mine didn't appear to be glued very well and didn't have any tri-stock bracing. I epoxied some tri-stock on both sides of the firewall from the back then added a fillet of epoxy to each side on the front. It may have been just fine as it was but I feel a little better after doing it. The plane is plenty fast, even with a .46-AX. I've seen them fly with OS .61's and they are unbelievably fast. The best part is that the plane handles like it is on rails. The retracts are a little flimsy but it is otherwise an excellent airplane.

I've had several World Models planes and I presently have an LA Racer. They come with pre-installed metal, pinned hinges. Adding CA is liable to stick the hinge joint, leaving you with some good, stiff metal hinges. The World Models metal pinned hinges will not come out.
I agree to add some CA to the flexible CA type hinges.

Just finished their AT6 which they say to apply CA... but you need to read closely, and the hinges are hard to pull out so I could see where someone might think they were FULLY pre installed. I didn't like the plastic "No pin hinge" they used, so I pulled them out and replaced with Micro Carl Goldberg hinges. I just push them in poke a T pin through the center to make a hole, then push a toothpick in clipping the excess off top and bottom with some diagonal cutters. I've tried CA, but if it gets near the hinge you're hosed.

Been flying the 1/3 Cub for over a year now and had no issues with the hinges. I would not be putting CA on those metal hinges, you are asking for problem if you attempt to CA the all metal hinges. If you are really concerned about it then pin them but don't CA them along the hinge line. You'll get dust etc. in that joint and then you'll have a stiff hinge line. Jerry.

Been racing the WM LA Racer in Club 40 Pylon Events and never had a problem with one nor seen anyone have a problem. They seem good to me and if they can hold up to the rigors of pylon racing they should be OK.

I do not know how fast it will be, but I hope it scoots better than my Shoestring did with a Tower .75 and 12-7 APC. That was no slouch either, but I am looking to break 100 MPH.
