Are you referring to a slop-soarer? Except out on the west coast, most combat is done with powered models, either .15 or .25 size.

SSC (.15-size) would be the best class for a beginner. It's the easiest and most economical to get into. And I'll bet you'll think it's way more fun than anything else you've done in RC!
