i have 2 of my tonado's single speed and its great for offroad, you have alot of options when it comes to clutch bells too, you can run from a 13 to a 19 tooth so you have a great range to deal with. The single speed is also just less maintaince and work to worry about, off road can be hard on an exposed 2 speed trans.
