I have over 9 gallons on my Hyper 8 (8.5 is not quite ready) and I never had a problem with the clutch bearings. I change them every gallons or so just to be on the safe side. Do you have the CB shimmed properly, is your gear mesh correct and are you sure the clutch is not slipping? What clutch shoes are you running?
