Default RE: DL-50 engine

Well it was 75 degrees here in north Texas but winds where gusting 25-35mph. Not a good day for flying but I finally got to fire up this DL.
First run took ten flips to pop on choke, choke off and started on first flip. NOW thats the way I like a new enigne to run. Much like My OS 1.40's.
It ran great for two tanks of fuel. Was a little fat in the lower range after a tank and a half so I turned in the low needle a total of 1/4th of a turn. The mid range ran pretty good and the idle speed came up a little. DID I go to far on leaning the needle? Haven't touch the top end yet. Was turning 6950 rpms on 22A Vess and 32/1 Lawnboy ashless. Of couse engine needs more time but after just two tanks of fuel it seems like its ready to go. Engine stayed cool and crankcase was just warm to the touch.
