btw - forgot the first part of the question. I use a gy90 in HH mode and as gnd2 says - get it set as close as you can get and use the trim for the final bit. If you have a programmable radio you increase the head speed earlier in the curve to speed up the tail and get better holding power. Not sure if you can do that on the stock tx.
