I guess I'm the "odd man" out. I've never had a problem with a failsafe and I use a cheap one - by Duratrax. I've never even had so much as a glitch because of the failsafe, but I have been saved by it - one time so far so I figure mine have already paid for themselves.

I just had another thought. If, God forbid, someone did do serious personal or property damage with a nitro RC vehicle and did not have a failsafe, could your homeowner's insurance company declare you negligent - or at least assign you a percentage of negligence? Hmmmmmm.....
