Regarding color schemes:

Since you obviously have use of a computer.. create some virtual color schemes before spending money on coating.

You should be able to find a 3-view of your plane. Somebody here on the forum probably has one. I bet there's one at the back of your manual you can scan. Anyway, fire up a graphics program, PAINT will work if nothing else, and color in your 3-view drawing. See if you like what you see. Experiment, do a few drawings.. Hey, even post them here for comments. Guarenteed you'll get 'em.

Advise #1: GET MORE CLAMPS! Everytime I went into my local home improvement store (Menards, Lowe's, Home Depot, whatever) I'd grab a couple clamps. They can be spendy, but if you get a couple here, a couple there, it doesn't seem too bad.

Advise #2: Get a big box of the #64 rubber bands. They come handy in building. Be creative.

Part of the fun I find in building, is figuring out how to accomplish something. How to clamp something together, how to make something work. It heightens the sense of accomplishment when you see your bird fly. It becomes more than a plane, it becomes a testament to your work and skills. And as you watch it fly, you remember your challenges and efforts. Only other builders can truly understand why you have that silly grin on your face....
