Default RE: Panel lines

ORIGINAL: JONATHAN G

hi andrew another way is give the model a light coat of primer them get some thin fine line tape from your a car auto paint shop if you cannot get that you can use thin pin stripe put the tape where you want the panel lines to go prime the model with a wet coat of primer, when the primer is dry peel the tape off and you will have perfect panel line you can also do rivets the same way i do this on all my models and it works this way your panel line is a indent in the model as would be on full size and is easy to do you will have to work along with who ever is painting your model hope this helps you regards jonathan.

Tell your painter to sand the lines down to the tape BEFORE removing it. otherwise, 1 it may peel away from the line and 2 it makes the lines crisper. Have fun, the painted on lines are the most realistic. IMO.............
