Can anyone tell me why the directions say to cut the metal channel "fuselage" and then join it back together with a plastic fitting?
It looks to me like you could just as well leave it in one piece. Or is it to prevent radio interference?
Thanks,
Jim
A while back, they made an "upgrade" to the fuselage design, to make it "easier to transport"

. Most SS's now come with a fiberglass tube fuselage, in two parts, that have to be joined together. If you have a one piece, aluminum fuselage, then you are lucky. DO NOT CUT IT. I understand that they mainly did this to make the shipping carton shorter and cheaper to ship. You will never want to remove the tail section for transport, so keep it in one piece.
Good luck.
