Yay! finally cracked the gearbox open.
Cant see anything immediatley wrong which would cause the CVD to stop? Can your expert eyes spy the problem?
How do I tell if its shimmed right?

If its binding up you would need to put a shim on the outside of the bearing opposite side to the crown gear. To push the crown away from the pinion.
Once you have done this put the diff case back together and screw the 4 large screws in and see if it still binds. If it does try another shim. Its trail and error till the diff spins freely.
