Clearview and helicopter rudder function
Hi,
I have been using FMS and Clearview. I noticed a little difference between the two simulators
without adjusting any of the settings.
In FMS, when I take a helicopter up to higher speeds in forward flight, then I control the
helicopter with the "stick". meaning the pitch and roll. (aileron and elevator) So when I
move the stick slightly to the right or left then the tail of the helicopter follows. I have never flown a real
helicopter, but I think that is also how it works in real life.
In Clearview, when I start flying a helicoper fast, the tail keeps the same heading until I explicitly move it with the rudder control.
So when flying high speeds, the tail does not follow - it keeps the same heading. I don't think this is realistic, unless the newer tail heading control
gyros work this way. Otherwise I like Clearview. It is definitely good for hovering and landing practice.
Does anyone know if there is some setting I can adjust in Clearview to make the tail "follow" in
forward, high speed flight?
