Racing (RC or full scale) has always been, is, and always will be based on a few key things.
Money
Skill
Cheating (enough to win but not to get caught)
Before everybody flames me, the last one is a reality. Yes, there are plenty of honest racers who would never cheat, but as was mentioned earlier, what about the computer pro who hacks another esc to gain an edge.
Assuming everyone is honest, if you don't have a big bank account then you better have great skills or expect to lose. Of course the most consistent bet is on those with lots of money and great skills.
On this particular issue, I agree with most. It is a form of tuning and should be allowed. I am not a racer, but it does seem like these are the types of things that keep the hobby moving forward. New technology is allowed everywhere else, so why not in RC racing?
