I built one a little over a year ago as my third plane. It's a very docile plane to land and fly but with enough control throw you'll still have enough excitement to last a while.

Beefing up the landing gear blocks is a good idea. I beefed mine up and still managed to rip one out (of course that's because I stalled out about 3 feet off of the runway and it's a miracle that no other damage was done).
