Sorry, I don't have any way to post pictures at this time, but once you start building the fuselage and get to the point where you are building the wing struts (cabane), you will see where strengthening is a good idea. Basically there a 2 struts, 1 forward and 1 aft both built with 2 vertical pieces and 1 horizontal piece (+ diagonals). The pins would be inserted through the verical pieces into the horizontal piece. You could also add gussets for additional strength.
