heading hold, and really lock the tail, unless you give input to move the tail...wind, turbulence, or the normal wishy-washiness of helis won't move the tail --unless you command it to move...sooooo, imho, you should seriously consider a good heading hold gyro.
Hey Ken, you just totally sold me on the HH gyro. Just one question. Is it a straight swap from the stock to a HH gyro?? Or are there other adjustments that will have to be made to accomidate the new gyro??......Thanks.
it's a straight swap...the reason the 401 is so popular is the simple setup and cost vs. performance...plus, with a good transmitter, you can adjust gain with the transmitter...gain on the 240 is adjusted with a tiny screwdriver right on the gyro itself...it's just a hbk2, so i wouldn't go out and get a jr g7703dgyro w/ 8900g tail servo combo (i have one for one of my bigger nitro helis)...bottom line - find a good hh gyro and a fast tail servo (like a hitec hs-50 or fut 3154) and you'll be set...still gotta learn to fly though...lol...ken
