Default RE: Prop For .15 MVVS

ORIGINAL: haikt

What prop would you run on a .15 MVVS with a short pipe for speed
On my combat planes we run 7X3 and get 17000 rpm from an LA15 but thats set up more for pull then speed.
I am thinking about building a plane for the little engine, dont know what yet.
Thank you
APC offers a handful of props listed as suitable for 10-15 pylon:

6.5x5.0 6.5x5.5 6.5x6.0 6.5x6.5
http://www.apcprop.com/cgi-bin/store...c=6a&product=+

and these sure look to me like they are in the right range. I don;t know the rpm range the engine/pipe is timed for, but these can always be clipped a bit to bring rpm up if needed.

Supercool props has a few composite props listed that look in the ballpark too:

GY01 Goodyear 6.8 x 4.2 C/F 15 Goodyear
GY02 6.5 x 5 C/F 15
GY03 6.5 x 5.5 C/F 15

6.1 x 5.5 (F2C hub) C/F 15
21 Speed and B T/R 6.6 x 6.5 2-blade C/F 15
21 Speed and B T/R 6.6 x 7 2-blade C/F 15
