Wow, big order................

Modern pattern, go to www.nsrca.com - National Society of Radio Controlled Aerobatics. This is the current world class pattern, turn around style. Also called 2-meter pattern for the size requitrements. A maneuver in front of you, then a maneuver to turn around, another manuver in front of you, etc.

"Classic Pattern" go to www.seniorpattern.com - This is the old pattern, where planes went a bazillion miles per hour, and the maneuvers looked like a Blue Angels performance. To keep it sinmple, no retracts or tuned pipes are allowed, planes must be pre-1976 designs.

"Ballistic Pattern" - like above, but they allow planes from 1976+ along with pipes and retracts. www.ballisticpattern.com

Then there's the 3-D crowd, the IMAC (minatures of full-scale arresti pattern) and the VRCS (Vintage RC Society)

Each has its own style, its own type of plane to compete with, etc.

Minor correction. Current pattern information is at www.nsrca.org
