Default Hatori pipe repair

Anyone know what kind of temperature a muffler from a YS 1.60
four stroke is subjected to ? I was wondering if JB Weld will hold up
repairing a crack in a Hatori pipe. The specs on the JB Weld package
says it will take up to 500 degrees continuous and 600 degrees for
10 minutes.
