I'm not suggesting that bearings need a break in. My DL's make noises when turning them, if really slow turning, it's before top dead center, and sounds like rod bearing end play. Haven't had any bearing issues, but I believe the bearing is a pretty standard size, and maybe easy to replace instead of sending to your importer?? Is the bearing leaking around the outer edge at the crankcase, or the inner race at the crankshaft?
