Well if you have 2 grand to blow on a radio the 14m is awesome.

If you want something a little more down to Earth the DX7, 9CHP, and x9303 are all excellent choices depending on your budget. If you are buying new you may as well go ahead and get 2.4 so that would leave the dx7 and x9303 or the newer Futaba 12fg and the 10 channel they have but haven't released yet, or the 7channel FAAST from Futaba if you want a more budget conscious choice. Any of them will do you well and give you room to expand should you desire to move up to nitro helis.
