While I haven't flown the Pulse I have heard a lot of good about it and you should do fine with it. But I do want to comment about your receiver. If it was involved in crash of the fuselage you really should have it sent in to be checked before you fly it in another plane. In a crash that bad it's very likely that the receiver could have suffered internal damages such as cracked boards, damaged electrical components, or even cracking the crystal. These damages could make the receiver unreliable and shouldn't be used until a repair facility can check. While the receiver may appear to be good on the ground it could fail in flight from the vibrations of the engine.
Trust me here, it's definitely worth sending it in to have it checked.
