I have tested the Skyrunner brushless setup with 2 cell lipo batteries. Even cheap Loong max 1300mah 2s fitted right up front behind the firewall.
Still very flyable and lighter, however the gliding performance did not seem significantly better than with 3s battery, and you will miss the fun of the 3s performance.
